If you are wondering if they pin trade on the ship, YES they do! Its usually one night (listed in your *Navigator )
It’s either in the atrium or near outside Theater. (info will be posted in your *Navigator)
You should only trade with the officers. (or with a cast member)
My son ended up being an honorary pin trader. They gave him a lanyard to use while they were pin trading. It was a lot of fun.
What’s really nice, is that you can keep going back to the different officers to re- trade, after others have been there so the supply keeps changing It's a lot of fun.
I’ve never seen it get crazy though some express that it does, and we’ve done it on 6 different cruises.
They also have pin books in the shops you can trade with . Just ask if they have a pin book.

The rule is, you can only trade 2 pins at a time with the same person
You can purchase pins at Disney or on the Ship. (the ship will have
some exclusive ones)
*NAVIGATOR- A Nightly newspaper you receive every night on your bed, You get the first one when you check in at the port. It lists all the ships activities and events
